I am Bernadette O’Keeffe and I am a writer. I am a recent graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design, with a degree in Dramatic Writing. When I was about eight years old, I decided that I wanted to be an astronaut. My older sister soon told me that aliens on Mars would eat me. I believed her. Writing seemed to be the better option.
During my time at SCAD, I found that I had a real passion for writing fantasy for young adults. I love creating new worlds and setting characters within them. I’m fascinated with not only traditional screenwriting, but storytelling within video games as well. Both have abilities to convey such powerful plots and ideas in such totally different ways.
